Beijing Zoo Voices: Their Messages to Us

wildlife in china

Assalamu'alaikum Warohmatullohi Wabarokatuh,

When I visited Beijing Zoo in 2019, I went there with a dear friend, Mrs. Afung and my son. We traveled by public transport, excited for the day ahead.

We didn’t see the whole zoo. We only had time for a few sections — the Bear and Panda areas. And I’m so glad we did.

The zoo was stunning. Lush plants, tall trees, and wide walkways made it feel peaceful, like a green escape in the middle of the city. It was the end of spring, almost summer, and the air was warm.

I truly loved being there. It’s a huge zoo, and every animal had plenty of space — big enclosures, big ponds. The living environment was designed to make them comfortable.

But what really touched my heart was in the Bear section. There were large picture boards with beautiful, thoughtful messages. Words that felt like they were coming straight from the animals to us.

I don’t know if those boards are still there today. I hope they are.

Now, I want to share these photos on my blog because they mean so much to me.

I love looking at them again and again — the images and the messages. They remind me that we all share this earth. And I hope that seeing them will inspire all of us to take better care of the animals who live around us.
